The Lindy Hop Dance
Lindy Hop is the most famous swing dance, originated in the 1920s/30s and has a big revival around the world since the 90’s. It’s a fusion of African American dances and European partner dancing, and it’s known for its joyful, improvisational and energetic style. With its roots in swing music, Lindy Hop is a dance that will get you moving around all the time and grooving to the beat.
Charleston is also part of our Lindy Hop Classes and we dance for faster swing music. It is perfect for those who likes to kick and have fun solo or with a partner, making it a versatile dance style that is suitable for both individual and group performances. Learning Charleston is a great way to also implement kicks in fast music and combine it with Lindy Hop (= Lindy Charleston).
If you are a beginner our teachers witll teach you the essential steps, rhythms, and techniques that will help you feel confident and comfortable on the dance floor. Our beginner courses are perfect for people who are completely new to dancing, as well as those who have some experience with other dance styles.
